The general library contains a broad base of different types of minerals. This library contains minerals that are commonly found in igneous rocks. Igneous rocks are formed by the cooling of ash, lava, or magma. An example is granite. This library contains minerals that are commonly found in metamorphic rocks. Metamorphic rocks are formed by transformation of other rocks, for example by heat or pressure. An example is marble (formed from limestone). This library contains minerals that are commonly found in sedimentary rocks. Sedimentary rocks usually form from the accumulation of small particles or sand grains deposited by water or wind. An example is limestone.
